The seeds are sowing, everything is growing, and we would love to help you find fresh produce in the Bay of Plenty in the months ahead. Check out where to find us, and other local offerings, with a few new markets on the horizon this summer!
7-days -
Te Puna Deli - 17 Minden Road, Te Puna (just off state highway 2) - 8.30am-5pm
We are really proud to supply a range of our salads and herbs to the beautiful Te Puna Deli, with deliveries at least twice weekly, to ensure freshness. A fan-favourite is our super-mix, which is packed with goodness, such as lettuce mix, cos leaves, rocket, spinach and micro-greens! Bonus: they make the best coffee in town and have a range of sweet treats baked in-house to keep you going.
Growlink (The onion & vege place) - 2998 State Highway 2, Katikati - 7.30am - 4pm
You will find our luscious basil plants and pesto at the infamous 'Onion & Vege Place' (Growlink) on the main road, just south of Katikati seven days a week. This is another awesome family-owned business, who stock a wide range of the freshest produce. You can shop directly from their farm or check out their website and order online.
Friday nights -
Katikati Market: A&P Showgrounds, 2 Major Street, Katikati
We are excited to be back at the Katikati Friday market, which now runs from 4pm - 6.30pm at the Showgrounds on the north side of town. Follow the markets Facebook page if you want to keep up to date with what's on offer each week, from fresh produce, through to locally made cheese, and custard squares.
If you're a Katikati local, passing through from Auckland, or on the way to the Coromandel, we would love to see you there. Dogs and picnic blankets are welcome.
Saturday mornings -
Tauranga Farmers Market: Tauranga Primary School, 35 5th Avenue, Tauranga
You will always find us at the trusty Tauranga Farmers Market on a Saturday morning (52 weeks of the year), from 7.45am - 12noon, along with many other local producers, movers and shakers. If you want to keep up with the seasonal offerings at this market, you can subscribe to the weekly email, via their website or follow along on instagram or Facebook.
Bring your shopping list and stock up on the essentials: milk, cheese, breads, coffee beans and produce that will last! Unfortunately, no furry friends are allowed at this market.
Waihi Beach Market - Waihi Beach Primary School, 100 Beach Road
Over summer (from 28 September, through to Easter) you will also find us at Waihi Beach on a Saturday morning from 8.30am - 12.30pm! We love being able to share our produce across the community and this market has a relaxed vibe and great music. Check out their instagram or facebook pages for weekly market offerings.
Along with all your fresh produce needs, you'll also find a range of local crafts, cakes, bread, milk, honey, kombucha and more at this market. Furry friends are welcome.
Sunday Mornings -
End of an era: Mount Maunganui Main Street
As some of you know, we have been attending a market on the Main Street of Mount Maunganui for many moons (over 12 years in fact). Sadly, this market ended in August, so you won't find us here any longer. However, you can check out our recent instagram reels, where we share a behind the scenes look at our Sunday morning routine + waved goodbye to some of our fellow stall holders.
New Market - Papamoa - Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School, 72 Calypso Drive Papamoa
We are really grateful to have found a sunny spot at the Papamoa Community Market, which runs from 8.30am - 1pm every Sunday (rain or shine). This market has a lovely community atmosphere and so many delicious treats. We would love to see you there as we find our footing. Check out their facebook and instagram pages for more information about the local offerings.
Coming soon...
Katikati Sunday Market coming soon - The Haiku Park, Katikati (near Robert Harris cafe)
We are also looking forward to a new Katikati market, due to start in October 2024 on Sundays at the Haiku Park in central Katikati, with more information to follow.
The Mylk Bar, Rotorua - 7 days.
We are working to extend our offering of fresh produce across the Kaimai's to Rotorua. Keep an eye on The Mylk Bar's instagram page for updates.
In addition to the above, if you are catering for a specific event, or looking for quality salads and herbs, send us an email: libertygrowers@gmail.com, or talk to us at the markets. We would love to tell you more about our swappa-container options.
Your support of our small family business means the world to us and every purchase makes a difference. So, if you want to fill your plate with more greens this summer, we would love to help!
