Liberty Growers is a family business, based in Katikati, Western Bay of Plenty.

 

We grow salads, herbs and a smaller range of seasonal vegetables and fruit. We pride ourselves on producing quality, fresh produce at affordable prices.

We sell the majority of our produce at local farmers markets across the Bay of Plenty, as well as some great restaurants and retail outlets.

 

Meet Malcolm and Debbie (Owners):

We are avid gardeners and travelers, which led us to buy Liberty Growers in 2012. Although we live in Napier, we are often on the farm mucking in. You will find Debbie's smiling face at the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui markets regularly, while Malc will be down in the vege patch, experimenting or 'fixing things'. 

 

We often have family and friends visiting who enjoy helping with the weekend markets, so if you're a regular customer you may see new faces on the stall from time to time.

Meet Sioeli & Rosie:

Our daughter Rosie and her partner Sioeli live onsite and manage the farm. They took the reigns from our son, Chris and his partner Jess at the beginning of 2020 as they migrated south to Dunedin after seven years of growing the business.

​

Sioeli and Rosie enjoy working together as a team, along with their swiss mountain dog, Chester, Sioeli's brother Joseph and three wonderful workers. When not on the farm, Sioeli can be found on the disc golf course. 

​

 We have expanded our range of produce a lot since we bought the business. We have also branched out into making pestos and sugar-free hot sauces using our produce.

We enjoy eating our fresh produce as well as experimenting with new recipes that use our herbs. Check out the Recipes page, our instagram or facebook for inspiration, or chat to us at the market as we have printed copies available of a wide variety of recipes.
